Project Manager - Electronic Physical Security Industry

(Full Time - NYC / Long Island)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Must have previous experience in the following systems: Network Cameras, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Systems, Networking, Fire Alarm Systems

• Manage, oversee, and coordinate all aspects of project activities after award through completion of project, including review of estimated costs prior to bid; provision of technical assistance to sales team as and when required; review of contracts, plans and specifications; project design engineering; supervision of installation labor and subcontractors; preparation of change proposals; preparation of project invoices; collections on projects

• Effectively communicate project requirements to project team and wider organization as and when required and maintain accurate and up to date records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports

• Identify potential project risks and develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and develop and implement strategies for controlling deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines

• Proactively communicate project schedules, project change proposals and related project activities on a regular basis with customer and seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction

• Coordinate the procurement of materials, supplies, services, and controls necessary for timely and cost-effective completion of project

• Utilize financial systems to review actual vs estimated job cost and to provide timely and accurate project cost reports

• Manage individual performance and personal development of assigned resources including performance of subcontractors

 

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 Years of Industry related experience, 3+ Years Project Management experience

• Strong technical skills related to the project management of electronic security systems

• Excellent Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

• Strong Project Financial skills, proven record of profitable projects

• Effective communication skills both oral and written

• Access Control and VMS certifications

• Knowledge of AutoCAD

• Customer Focus – Maintaining awareness of and seeking to meet the needs and wants of the customer

• Leadership Orientation – Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor others within the organization

• Frequent visits to jobsites are required
